Bill Taylor studied classical piano with his father, Arnold P. Taylor, with Harriet Shirvan in Boston, jazz with Jerry Gray, composition at Cornish School and briefly with Ken Benshoof. He has accompanoed ballet classes, played in Sea Agua in 1982, the Soul Purpose Band from 2012 to 2020, and as church accompanist from 2004 to 2024. His environmental and farming work inform his music.
